Talehay Farmhouse is a grade 2 listed Cornish farmstead with its origins in the 17th century. No longer a working farm, Talehay is surrounded by and overlooks open countryside around a central courtyard of well specified and tastefully furnished converted Cornish stone built cottages providing self-catering accommodation. All the cottages are situated in spacious communal gardens with lawned areas, ideal for picnics and barbecues and safe for your children to play in. To the rear of the main house are a further two and a half acres of pasture land where guests can walk their dogs or play with their children. All cottages are supplied with their own picnic table and seating area as well as benefiting from the use of the communal gardens.
Talehay is ideal if you are looking for a 'get away from it all' holiday seeking peace and tranquility or as a base to explore the many attractions of Cornwall; it's beaches, fishing villages, stately homes, famous gardens, coastal and inland walks as well as the world renowned "Eden Project". Available nearby you can enjoy golf, diving, surfing, horse riding, cycling and many country and coastal walks.
Talehay is situated a mile from the village of Pelynt, Nr Looe, Cornwall, amidst delightful unspoilt open countryside and approached down a quiet lane. The magnificent Cornish coastline with its secluded sandy coves and breath taking views is only 3 miles away.
Holiday Cottages:
The Lodge, Self-Catering Sleeps 2 + Cot/Z Bed
A bright, spacious open plan studio cottage fully equipped with Freeview TV, DVD/Video, CD/radio and WIFI. There is a double bed with plenty of room for an extra occasional bed.
The cottage is centrally heated and has a fully equipped kitchen, including microwave oven and automatic washer/dryer. Separate bath/shower room and wc. Ideal for couples or smaller families.
The Stables, Self-Catering Sleeps 4 or 5 + Cot
This unique accommodation offers a special charm with its high vaulted beamed ceilings, galleried double bedroom with views across the surrounding fields and a wood burning stove (Supplemented by central heating). It is fully equipped with Freeview TV, DVD/video CD/radio and WIFI. Downstairs is a twin bedroom with twin beds which can be turned into a double bed or 3 single beds, lounge/dining room, fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, bathroom with bath/shower and WC.
Barn & Owl Cottages, Self-Catering Sleeps 2 & 4
Cosy traditional cottages with oak beams, slate window sills and stone fireplaces. Barn cottage has a double bedroom with adjoining bath/shower room with WC. Owl cottage has one double and one twin bedroom with bath/shower room and WC. Take advantage of the late
afternoon sun by relaxing on the patios outside . Both Cottages have lounge/dining areas and are well specified with Freeview TV, DVD/ video recorder, CD/radio & WIFI. Both cottages have fully equipped kitchens with microwave & washer/dryer and are centrally heated.
The Coach House, Self-Catering Sleeps 2 + Cot/Z Bed
Light, bright spacious accommodation on one level. This detached cottage has uninterrupted views over open countryside. It has one double bedroom with adjoining bathroom, a lounge/dining area, a well-equipped kitchen with microwave and washer/dryer and is centrally heated. It is fully equipped with Freeveiw TV, DVD/ video, CD/radio and WIFI.
